Extension plan for Islandmagee pumping station

Planners have indictated they are minded to approve a proposal to upgrade the waste water pumping station in Islandmagee.

The application, by Northern Ireland Water, includes an expansion to the site at Millbay to accomodate new underground and overground machinery, as well as new gates and fencing around the extended site.

However, at the Monday’s meeting of Larne Borough Council, Cllr Mark McKinty said there were concerns surrounding ownership of land relating to the appliaction.
